Healthcare, Policy and Planning Constraints

Locate an example of a policy or guideline from an external source to a healthcare organization. Explain how this policy or guideline may be a constraint to a healthcare organizations planning, or how it may shape the healthcare organizations philosophy. For example, given that the American Academy of Pediatrics offers guidelines on child vaccinations, these guidelines might impact the ability of the healthcare organization to deliver services to newborns and infants. Using a similar example, as well as the characteristics of effective plans as your framework, discuss how proper planning can help organizations in their future decision making.

Policy and Planning Constraints
In the organization of patient safety and quality, the policy of risk management was effective. The risk management policy seeks to reduce the vulnerabilities and limitations, which occurs during the conduct of the health care managers and physicians. The health care policy involves the incorporation of training about the policy and procedures, which trains the employees about the health care programs (Conklin, Morris, & Nolte, 2015). The policy implemented was important in improving the understanding of the physicians about health care interventions. Therefore, the risk management policy and guidelines are important in improving the planning process of the health care activities and programs.
The risk management guidelines and policies are important in shaping the health care philosophy and models. Under the risk management guidelines, the health care organization can develop quality controls and policies, which improves the process of risk management. It is clear that the healthcare organizations are appropriate in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the health care decision-making (Conklin et al., 2015). Proper planning of the risk management will assist in shaping the overall decision making by developing risk management models. The risk programs are useful in improving the overall health care program and plans to support productivity.
The performance of the health care organizations shapes the ability of the organization to shape effective risk management plans and processes. The creation of effective frameworks on risk control among the physicians and the health care processes will be able to support planning (Herlitz & Horan, 2016). Since, the risk plans have information and activities, which guides the overall control of health care. It is always expected that the lack of risk management programs limit the operations of the medical center. It is critical to improving risk models, which are useful in supporting quality health care controls. Therefore, the model of risk management guidelines will be useful in enhancing productivity and effective control of the programs within the health care organization.
